The Playboy Chair
OFFICIAL: NEW BOUDOIR SET ANNOUNCEMENT
Can you believe it’s been almost four months since my last blog post? I have been slacking to say the least, but my new goal for 2025 is to try and write one blog post a month, so here we go with our first blog post of the year.
This is the perfect way to start off 2025 with an exciting announcement at Calie Brianna Boudoir, we have a new set available here at the boudoir studio; The Playboy Chair!
This warms my heart more than I can explain. Since starting my own boudoir photography business back in 2023, it has been my dream to have a chair like this. Ever since I saw this famous Playboy Magazine cover (see image below), I just knew I had to have a chair just like this. Off went my searching to see if I might be able to purchase one online, I did fine one, for the low low price of $5,000 — and I can only imagine the cost of the shipping to get it to me.

As January 2024 rolled around, it was my mission to try and find someone to make me this chair locally. I took a photo of the playboy magazine cover and even put it on my vision board I made back in January 2024, if you dream it, it will come?
I was having a hard time finding someone for the job, and financially since starting my boudoir photography business, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to afford to have this fabulous chair made, so I put it on the bottom of the to do list for 2025.
My Mother and Father, bless their hearts, knew about this chair that I wanted and went on a mission for me. Their neighbour knew a guy, and they sent him the photo, and off he went.
Flash forward to December 2024. I am out for dinner with my partner and my parents for a birthday dinner celebration, and they mention to me that they have something for me and that they will be coming back to our house after dinner. My Mother is the Queen of buying me things, sometimes things I don’t need, but she is a very thoughtful woman. I was secretly worried it would be something I didn’t need or want.
There I am in, in the front foyer of my home, opening a very strangely shaped foam and saran wrapped object, in the shape of a chair. In all honesty, I had NO idea what I was opening and thought it was a patio chair to be fair, but as I pealed back the foam and wrapping, it started to click in what it was my Playboy Chair!! 11 Months Later my dreams were turned into reality (one more thing from my vision board coming true!).
I’ll share the video of me opening my chair that very evening below. It was truly the best Birthday / Christmas gift a girl could ask for.
It has been very difficult to keep my new set a secret, but I wanted to take some photos of the chair and do a little self portrait session with it, to celebrate the new year and my latest addition to the studio.
My latest self portrait session I wanted to be very raw — in a small homage to the original Playboy Magazine cover, I wanted to be nude, but have the chair covering all my “bits and pieces,” so no clothing or lingerie required. I also decided that I would rock a face of very little makeup (I put on some mascara and a little eyebrow filler, but that’s it - it was a very different experience for me). I was inspired to do this by the ever fabulous Pamela Anderson. She frequently posts on her socials and goes to events with little to zero makeup and I am totally here for it. I think there is something so beautiful about being your most genuine and raw self.
